Stumphouse Tunnel

Stumphouse Tunnel is an incomplete railroad tunnel dug by hand prior to the Civil War for the Blue Ridge Railroad of South Carolina in Sumter National Forest. It was an attempt to link the port of Charleston to the cities of the Midwest by rail. Architecturally, it’s pretty neat, but it has a bit of an eerie vibe, especially at sunset.
